Sinclair Ferguson

Reformed Theologian & Pastor

Sinclair B. Ferguson (born February 21, 1948) is a Scottish Reformed theologian and Presbyterian minister who serves as Chancellor's Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary and as a teaching fellow at Ligonier Ministries. He has pastored congregations on both sides of the Atlantic, including First Presbyterian Church (Columbia, SC) and St George's-Tron in Glasgow, and previously served as professor of systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

Ferguson is known for warm, accessible preaching of historic Reformed orthodoxy with a strong pastoral and Christ-centered emphasis. His book The Whole Christ revived twenty-first century interest in the Marrow Controversy and the relationship between law and gospel; his works on the Holy Spirit and the Christian life have become standard texts in Reformed seminaries.
