Michael Horton
Michael Scott Horton (born May 11, 1964) is the J. Gresham Machen Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California and host of the White Horse Inn radio program. An ordained minister in the United Reformed Churches in North America, he holds a PhD from the University of Coventry & Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, and is a leading voice in the Reformed confessional tradition in America.
Horton is known for sharp critiques of American evangelicalism's drift into therapeutic, moralistic, and consumer-driven Christianity. His magnum opus The Christian Faith and his shorter Pilgrim Theology have become widely used systematic-theology textbooks. He has been a strong defender of covenant theology, the means of grace, and a confessional Reformed identity over against revivalism and pragmatism.
