Mark E. Shaw

Dr. Mark E. Shaw is founder of The Addiction Connection, a certified biblical counselor since 2002, and pastor of counseling at the Nocatee Campus of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. With a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling (2008), Shaw has pioneered approaches to addiction counseling grounded in Scripture while incorporating contemporary understanding of neurochemistry and psychological dynamics.

His extensive publication record—over 28 resources—includes The Heart of Addiction: A Biblical Perspective, which equips both addicts and counselors with biblical frameworks for understanding and addressing addiction holistically.
