Kevin DeYoung

Kevin DeYoung is Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary Charlotte and senior pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina. After earning his Ph.D. in early modern history from the University of Leicester (UK), DeYoung joined RTS in 2017 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. His works have won multiple Christianity Today Book Awards, including Why We're Not Emergent (2009), Why We Love the Church (2010), and Crazy Busy (2014).

Through his pastoral leadership, academic teaching, and prolific writing, DeYoung has shaped contemporary evangelical theology, particularly regarding church practices, biblical sexuality, and Reformed doctrine. Elected moderator of the PCA's 52nd General Assembly in 2025, he represents a new generation of evangelical leaders committed to doctrinal faithfulness, pastoral care, and cultural engagement grounded in Scripture and Reformed theology.
