John MacArthur

John Fullerton MacArthur Jr. (born June 19, 1939) is the longtime pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California (since 1969), chancellor of The Master's University and The Master's Seminary, and the featured Bible teacher of the syndicated radio and online ministry Grace to You. The son of a pastor, MacArthur has spent more than five decades preaching expositionally through the New Testament and has produced a verse-by-verse commentary set covering the entire NT.

MacArthur is one of the most prominent voices in contemporary fundamentalist-leaning evangelicalism, known for his uncompromising stance on the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture, cessationist doctrine of the Holy Spirit, and dispensational eschatology. He has authored or edited more than 150 books, and his MacArthur Study Bible has become one of the bestselling study Bibles of the modern era.
