John Frame

Reformed Theologian & Apologist

John M. Frame (born April 8, 1939) is professor emeritus of systematic theology and philosophy at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, where he held the J.D. Trimble Chair until his retirement. He previously taught at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and at Westminster Seminary California, where he was one of the founding faculty.

Frame is best known for his "triperspectivalism"—the framework that approaches every theological question from normative, situational, and existential perspectives—and for his work as a presuppositional apologist in the tradition of Cornelius Van Til. His four-volume Theology of Lordship series and one-volume Systematic Theology have shaped a generation of Reformed pastors and theology students.
