Joel B. Green
Joel B. Green (born May 7, 1956) is a leading New Testament scholar, theologian, and Associate Dean of the Center for Advanced Theological Study at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, where he serves as Professor of New Testament Interpretation. Holding a doctorate from the University of Aberdeen (1985), Green has distinguished himself through extensive research on Luke-Acts, the Gospels, 1 Peter, and James, as well as theological hermeneutics.
Credited with reshaping evangelical approaches to New Testament interpretation toward greater theological and missional depth, Green served as dean of Asbury Seminary and provost before joining Fuller. He is the general editor of the prestigious New International Commentary on the New Testament (NICNT) series, has authored or edited over 55 books (8 award-winning), and maintains membership in international scholarly societies including the Society for New Testament Studies and the International Society for Science and Religion, establishing him as a premier evangelical biblical scholar.
