Douglas Farrow
Douglas Farrow is Professor of Theology and Ethics at McGill University in Montreal, where he has taught since 1998 and serves as holder of the Kennedy Smith Chair in Catholic Studies. After completing his doctorate under Colin Gunton at King's College London and teaching there, Farrow brings a distinctly Catholic theological perspective to discussions of ecclesiology, political theology, and soteriology that evangelical readers increasingly find valuable.
Farrow's scholarly work draws inspiration from patristic and medieval sources—Augustine, Anselm, Aquinas, and John Paul II—while engaging contemporary church and state issues. His major works include Ascension Theology (T&T Clark 2011) and Desiring a Better Country: Forays in Political Theology (McGill-Queens 2015). He is a regular interlocutor with evangelical and ecumenical groups through organizations like the Institute on Religion and Public Life and Evangelicals and Catholics Together, making him a bridge-builder between Catholic and evangelical thought.
